Yellow Trout Lily
Erythronium americanum
Notes:

In this yard, the Bloodroot, Hepatica, and Trout Lilies are the first to show up each spring.

I planted these in the front yard in 2003. They grow well and have filled in the area I set aside for them. But they have not yet blossomed. If anyone has a explanation/suggestion, I would love to hear it. Last year, I transplanted a few to a sunnier location. We'll see if that helps.

It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one destiny, affects all indirectly.
