Amethyst Shooting Star
Dodecatheon amethystinum
I planted a few of these in a flower box by the front door. They are one of the prettiest flowers I've seen. The flower box stays outside all winter. I suspect the soil gets colder than normal ground. They seem to have no trouble with that.
We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.
